Chewing your food until it gets soft and liquid in your mouth helps the whole digestive process.  Try chewing for 50-100 times before you swallow.   You secrete digestive enzymes in your mouth before anything hits your stomach or small intestine. If food is not adequately broken down in the mouth, the rest of the digestive process is thrown off and has to work a lot harder and you do not get to absorb all the happy nutrients. Chewing gives you more energy, better bowel movements, better sleep, weight loss and feeling of satisfaction. Chewing bliss!
